    Male.

    Unmarried (Married serving person of the Armed Forces over 20 years of age are eligible).

    Citizens of Pakistan and domicile holders of Azad Kashmir / Gilgit-Baltistan. Upon final selection, dual-national candidates must surrender nationalities other than Pakistan.


    (1) Marks – FA / FSc / Equivalent

    • Minimum 60% marks in FA / FSc and equivalent.
    • Candidates who secure 60% marks or above in BA / BSc, BA / BSc (Hons) and BBA / BPA, with 50% marks in FA / FSc are eligible for PMA Long Course.

    (2) Relaxation of Marks – FA / FSc

    55% marks for the candidates from specified areas with domicile. Areas include:

    • Balochistan
    • FATA
    • Gilgit-Baltistan
    • District Neelum Azad Jammu Kashmir
    • District Kohistan, Chitral, Dir
    • Tehsil BalaKot (Kaghan), Naran of District Mansehra in KPK
    • Tharparker and Tehsil UmerKot in Sindh
    • District Rajanpur
    • Area of Cholistan Desert
    • Drawar Fort, Salamsar
    • Mojgarh and Dingarh of Punjab

    (3) Serving Army Soldiers

    50% marks in FA / FSc and equivalent.

    (4) Verification of Marks Sheet / Certificate

    Candidates not issued with certificates or in possession of duplicate/revised mark sheets/certificates of Matric / Intermediate / BSc must get a Verification Certificate signed by Secretary/Controller Examination of the concerned Board/University.

    (5) ‘A’ Leve

    ‘A’ level candidates applying in Pakistan with aggregate 60% marks are eligible without seeking equivalence certificates as calculated by IBCC. However, all the candidates who have passed ‘A’ level and equivalent examination from abroad or have passed from Pakistan with a result less than three C’s are required to submit an equivalence certificate issued by IBCC.

    2. Ineligibility Conditions

    • A candidate is ineligible if he is twice rejected by ISSB / GHQ / NHQ / AHQ Selection Board or once rejected by ISSB and once rejected by GHQ / NHQ / AHQ Selection Board.
    • Permanently declared unfit by Appeal Medical Board.
    • Declared unfit by any Armed Forces Hospital except those cleared by the Appeal Medical Board.
    • Declared medically unfit due to Hepatitis B & C (cannot request for Appeal Medical Board).
    • Dismissed/removed/debarred from Government Service including Armed Forces.
    • Withdrawn from any Academy / Training Institution of Armed Forces on any ground.
    • Withdrawn from any bonded Armed Forces college/institution on disciplinary grounds or convicted in a Court of Law for an offense involving moral turpitude.

    How To Join Pak Army As A Commission Officer

    1- Online registration

    2- Initial online test date is decided by online registration server.


    There are two parts in selection procedure

    1- Initial or Preliminary selection.
    2- ISSB


    Here I will only discuss the initial part of selection:

    Initial part consists of different types of tests including:

    • Computerized Test
    • Physical Test
    • Medical Test
    • Initial Interview

    Once you clear all these tests, you will undergo for ISSB.


    1- COMPUTERIZED TEST

    This test consists of 3 sections:

    1- Verbal Intelligence Test (96 Questions, 30 min)
    2- Non-Verbal Intelligence Test (96 Questions, 30 min)
    3- Academic Test (50 Questions, 30 min)

    Documents Required at AS&RCs

    • Original certificate / detailed Marks Sheet of Matric/FA/FSc/ Equivalent.
    • Computerized National Identity Card for 18 years and above or Computerized Form “B” along with Guardian’s Computerized National Identity Card (Father or Mother) for less than 18 years of age.
    • One set of attested photocopies of above mentioned documents.
    • 3 x Passport size coloured photos duly attested (front and back) by Principal/Class-1 Gazetted Officer.
    • Original as well as one photocopy of “NOT RECOMMENDED” letter by ISSB are also required for “Repeater Candidates”.

    Note: Old National Identity Card and Form “B” will not be accepted.


    Physical Standard

    • Height:
      5.4 feet (162.5 cm)
    • Vision standard:
      Distance Vision With Glasses 6/9, 6/12
      Near Vision J2, J7 or N8, N12 With Or Without Glasses
    • Weight:
      (As Per The Body Mass Index (BMI))

    Physical Test

    • Running 1.6 km in 8 min
    • Push ups 15 in 2 min
    • Sit ups 15 in 2 min
    • Chin ups 3 in 2 min
    • Ditch 7.4×7.4

    Medical Test

    Initial medical test is simple, they will just check your:

    • Height
    • Weight
    • Eye Side
    • Flat Feet
    • Knee Knocking
    • Chest Size
    • Arm Angle.

    The majority of students have carrying angle and flat feet problem.


    INITIAL INTERVIEW

    • Your introduction in English
    • Meaning of your name
    • Pakistan neighbor countries
    • Abbreviations
    • Important topics for speech (this scheme was started from 142 L/C at AS&RC Peshawar)
      • (3 minutes speech on topic)
    • Ayat ul Kursi
    • 6 kalmas
    • Dua e kunnot
    • 10 surahs
    • It is good if you revise initial test academic portion
    • You must have a good grip on current affairs

    DRESSING:

    • Plain dress shirt or a mild pattern but well pressed.
    • Dress pants of dark color.
    • Dark color socks without any sort of patterns on it.
    • Black shoes well polished.
    • Normal sized black or brown belt.
    • Mild body spray or perfume.
    • Avoid coat if it’s too hot.
    • Tie is a must; knot should be a good one.
    • Topmost button of the shirt must be tied.
    • Don’t wear any wristwatch or bands.
    • Don’t put any pen in the pocket of the shirt.
    • Shave must be fresh.
    • Haircut should be proper.
    • 3-piece suit is best for the interview.
    • If shalwar kameez, then wear black waistcoat above it (recommended white cotton).
    • Use light perfume.
    • Remove ribbons from hands.
    • Fresh haircut.
    • Wear decent shoes.

    Online preliminary selection test have the following two parts;

    Part-1: In this part, verbal and non-verbal questions are asked. You have to answer 96 verbal and 96 non-verbal questions. Only 60 minute are given for answering the question.
